Emergency movie postponed; Kangana announces ‘heartbreaking’ news

Much awaited movie ‘Emergency’ in which Kangana Ranaut will play the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi has been postponed. The movie was scheduled to be released on September 6.

As the Censor Board has not issued a certificate to the movie, it could not be released. The movie surrounds the controversial time of emergency in India when many leaders were jailed without a reason. The movie was criticized by some political parties as well.

In a post on social media, Kangana Ranaut said, “With a heavy heart I announce that my directorial Emergency has been postponed, we are still waiting for the certification from censor board. New release date will be announced soon, thanks for your understanding and patience”.

Many social media users supported Kangana Ranaut and urged her not to lose heart as the movie will be released in coming days.
