Casting couch forced Munjya actor Abhay Verma return to hometown Panipat

As it is said that film industry in India given opportunities only to nepo-kids, there is a true story in form of Abhay Verma who has talked about his harrowing experience in form of casting couch in Bollywood.

Abhay Verma is known for the movie Munjya and Ae Watan Mere Watan shared his experience with India Today in a video interview in which he said that the encountered the menace when he was auditioning for shows and movies.

Abhay has however now been recognized because of his roles especially in the above given movies and also in The Family Man for a negative role. Abhay Verma however tells the interviewer that it is not an easy journey for an outsider to establish himself in the film industry.

He said during the interview that the incident of casting couch forced him to leave Mumbai and return to his hometown Panipat in Haryana. Abhi once thought that his film career was over but after gathering courage, he returned to Mumbai and against started giving auditions for movies and shows.

Abhay says that it becomes very distasteful that in the very first meeting with the industry insider, you have to face such a thing which shatters you. He did not disclose the name of the industry insider but said that the experience forced him to leave Mumbai and return to the hometown.
