With the time passing, the Mumbai police are becoming skeptical of Govinda’s version of his leg injury due to his personal gun which misfired after falling on floor.
Govinda was hit by the bullet near his knee when at around 5 am he was set to leave his home. He had said that his old gun was not locked and fell on the floor and misfired leading to the injury. It was a Webley revolved which misfired.
Govinda has been questioned by the police and Crime Branch of Mumbai and sources have informed that they are not convinced with the version of the actor who was once the superstar of Bollywood. He ruled the industry in 1990s and most of his movies were super-hit.
Govinda has informed the Crime Branch that it was an accident, however the police see something more in the incident. Statement of the actor has been recorded and as per reports they might again record his statement in the case investigation in which is still ongoing.
The actor was immediately taken to the hospital after he was hit by a bullet on his leg. The police have however clearly ruled out any possibility of foul play in the incident.
